UNBELIEVABLE!

At Marans in Charente-Maritime, the mayor decided to exempt from local taxes the future inhabitants.

I must make you a child revelation, I was admiring the courage of Asterix. Understand, this village of Brittany showed a sacred resistance to political correctness of the Roman bureaucracy!

I recently discovered that a mayor of Charentes-Maritime was a rival of Abraracourcix, the village chief of Asterix and Obelix! Faced with the desertion of his village, the progressive closure of small shops and the scheduled end of rurality, he refused to resign.
Thierry Belhadj, the mayor of Marans 4 630 inhabitants, 20 km from La Rochelle decided to attract families in his small town by removing altogether the taxes for newcomers for 5 years!

French bureaucracy did not let him (its interests are at stake ...) and responded with all haste (for once ...): the Prefect immediately returned fire, and the Administrative Court of Poitiers - a good servant - made an interlocutory Wednesday, April 27 to break the municipal decision ...
In France, when we banned the courage in politics, and we have been manufactured and imposed media idols pasteboard, it is still the land of mayors who are brave!

These mayors, often without any political label, are completely devoted to their people: they work with passion for their fellow citizens. You probably know about you, and those (but not others) deserve our encouragement.

Many elected officials, who are also "big mouths", and take the difficult choice of cutting public spending ... rather than the indiscriminate increase in local taxation.

Local costs are exploding in many municipalities. Perhaps it is also the case with you!
