CROCODILE FOUND IN LAKE GENEVA

It was a little more than 14h, Saturday afternoon, when the animal came up the dark waters of Lake Geneva. These are two fishermen who quickly raised the alarm.
While the two friends were teasing bream and bolts of the river, the reptile attacked violently in their baskets before reaching the shore. Frightened, they left their equipment on site and alerted authorities.

Facing danger, a series of photos was taken before the animal decides to return to the water. The crocodile, estimated length of 4 meters and charging more than 300 kg, would be directed to the main basin of the port.
The duck population decreased.

Then a vast operation was put in place so that the animal can emerge. Lawrence Lacoste, reptile specialist quickly intervened to place a mesh at the mouth of the site, isolating the reptile and this in the baiting by a gamey meat.

If the source of such an animal in these waters is still unknown, Lawrence Lacoste makes a first hypothesis. "These animals are sold commercially. Perhaps he escaped from her owner through drains. I learned that the duck population had declined for some time near the site. This is an animal that is discrete. He may be there for a while, "said the expert. Still subject to very strict legislation, it is not unusual to find snakes or other dangerous spiders in ever more unusual places.
