GRENOBLE – THE MUNICIPALITY OF ERIC PIOLLE FINANCE THE ANTI-HATE COPS

A few days after the brutal murder of two policemen in Magnanville, the walls of Grenoble are covered with a large mural stoking anti-hate cops.
This work of street art, titled "The freedom the bludgeoning state" that shows Marianne struck by two policemen, was created by artist Goin, in the "Street Art Fest Grenoble" held the 8 to 26 June 2016. The festival has a budget of 200 000€ has gathered 45 artists.

Street Art Fest Grenoble is subsidized by the city of Grenoble. According to the website Le Petit Bulletin, the city increased its 64% subsidy for the second edition of this festival.

Taxes of Grenoble finance up to 25 000€ this festival, which can be added 17,300€ for Space Junk center activities, festival organizer.

The mayor of Grenoble, Eric Piolle, did not understand the controversy.

Besides the city of Grenoble, is one of the festival's public partners: the Department of Isère, Rhône-Alpes Auvergne, the Drac Auvergne Rhône-Alpes, Grenoble Alpes Academy, the Museum of the Resistance and Deportation of Isère or the national School of architecture of Grenoble.

Each year there are more than 15 billion euros of public money that are distributed for cultivation, if we add the funds of Europe, state and local authorities.
