Swedish Actresses Denounce the Sexual Assault of Which They Were Victims

This Thursday, November 9, 456 Swedish actresses have signed a long text in the daily Svenska Daglabet, in which they testify to the sexual assault of which they were victims.
The word of victims of sexual assault has become more and more apparent since the Weinstein affair. Hollywood cinema is not alone in revealing the dark scenes of its system since in Sweden, 456 actresses have taken the pen to denounce this plague that plagues the boards of theaters and movie sets.

In less than 24 hours, they collected about 1100 testimonials and chose to compile about twenty stories that they preferred to keep anonymous. No name of aggressor has been given because they will recognize themselves: "We know who you are," they warn.
The target aggressors are mainly actors, with whom they shared the poster, directors and directors who directed them: "The sexual assaults are linked to the structure of the power which surrounds our branch, always assimilated to a cult of the genius defined by men, who since the time of Ingmar Bergman let the male genies get away with any behavior as long as they create to a high artistic value. "

The accumulation of testimonials is enough to make you feel nauseous:

"As we were rehearsing, he asked me, whispering if he could suck the milk out of my boiled breasts (he knew I was nursing then) by pressing his erect penis against me"
"He sat on me and started to massage me. Then he took out his thing and began to masturbate. He lifted my shirt and watered my back. "

"At a party, he followed me into a hotel room, thrust violently on the floor, jumped on me and held me tight, laughing with a dark look"

Through this text, the 456 signatory actresses promise to stop being silent and demand from their employers (production companies, theaters, publishers and TV channels) to stop protecting, hire criminals and win. money through them.

A few hours after the publication of the text, the Swedish Minister of Culture, Alice Bah Kuhnke, expressed her disgust and anger. She summoned the bosses of all major cultural institutions in Stockholm and demanded that they act immediately to put an end to this scourge.
