No to free work. The
feminist letter "The Glorious" calls the French women to mobilize,
this Friday from 11:44, to denounce inequalities in wages between women and
men.
Denouncing gender-based income disparities can take different forms: posting messages on social networks with the hash tag # 3 November 11:44, attending rallies, signing a petition.
The feminist movement has already launched a fake promotional campaign for a fictional film about the event, using the image of the Belgian artist Helena Noguerra.
The Glorieuses are based on
figures from the European statistical agency Eurostat, which rates 15.8%
against women wage gaps. Based on the number of working days, this rate
corresponds to 39.7 days worked voluntarily by women, from this Friday at 11:44
for the whole year.Denouncing gender-based income disparities can take different forms: posting messages on social networks with the hash tag # 3 November 11:44, attending rallies, signing a petition.

In 2016, Les Glorieuses launched the first edition of this mobilization on November 7th. It takes place earlier this year because of a widening inequality. "There is a decline in equal pay in France," denounces the feminist movement. He deplores several factors that lead to this situation: "The private sphere influences the public sphere (career breaks, part-time work to perform private tasks); a gendered distribution at the level of higher education, trades and positions of responsibility; internalization of stereotypes; inequalities in wage bargaining ... whereas women are more educated than men ".
"We can all promote
equal pay on our scale, however, the Glorious insist. We identified three
levels of action: the individual, businesses and public policies. The
association takes as an example, among other things, to unite in a company and
negotiate its salary on a regular basis. It also suggests that companies be
transparent about their wages and help with childcare. The law can also impose
equal pay and facilitate parental leave regardless of the parent's sex.
