The
Casa Nostra restaurant is situated in the Tulipa hotel but is not part of the hotel!?
What I mean is that the hotel washes their hands when it's convenient ... Explication:
In August of this year I
had the pleasure of spending time with my companion in Bragança, a city in the
north of Portugal that is a city with many qualities and beautiful to see.
Meanwhile the Casa Nostra Restaurant is to avoid if the boss that is also the cook of this establishment is in a bad mood; it’s best to ask if Mr. Zé woke up well. If yes book it, if not, do not book.
In 2013 the restaurant had
a capacity to accommodate 81 people sitting and apparently nowadays has 150
seats without any extra M2. How they did this? Maybe people are centered like
sardines in a concentrated can!
José Marcelino known by Mr. Zé is the boss as well as the cook of this restaurant. A man apparently known in France / Paris because he is recognized as one of the best worker in France as pizza Yolo; Good for him. Nowadays he is an arrogant man, disgusting, a bad person and ignorant!
The hotel's breakfast is
served in Zé's restaurant. There is no separate room or division in the
restaurant for breakfast. When we arrived for breakfast we saw no one to
explain the concept to us. At a table we waited to see if someone would came,
but no one came; after a few minutes we learned that it was a self-service
breakfast ... we were finishing eating when a well-dressed Portuguese lady
arrived. She put her sunglasses on a table and went to get a coffee, but when
she arrived at the table, Zé spoke to this lady with a very authoritarian and
unpleasant tone and said that the table was not for breakfast and that it cost
him € 5 to have the tablecloth washed ... the lady of the reception Mrs.
Elisabete Raimundo was present and apologized... the lady went to have her
coffee in the hotel lounge.
I had the opportunity to
speak to this Portuguese lady and told her that if it was me, I would ask for
the Complaints Book and that no one
likes it because a copy of what we write is sent to the authorities of the
Tourism and can cause serious problems for the restaurants, hotels, etc. in
Portugal.
This lady did not do anything wrong and that is why I write this article to inform you all. We thought of having lunch at Casa Nostra but as you can imagine we didn’t and we left the hotel straight a way before having an indigestion.
Mrs. Elisabete Raimundo
told me that “the restaurant had nothing to do with the hotel” but, she is the
responsible of the hotel and business
associate of the restaurant Casa Nostra; so please pay attention when in
Portugal because they do not tell you the truth all the time...
The Hotel Tulipa www.tulipaturismo.com is very well situated in the city of Bragança it is
extremely clean and the hotel workers are very friendly and helpful.
I have nothing bad to say
about the Hotel Tulipa, but the restaurant Casa Nostra YES!
