On the 28th of June 2014 I had a myocardial
infarction and I had to be operated urgently. They intervened the first time
and operated me early hours on the 29th. After three days later in
intensive care, and due to some complications, I had a second operation and 4
stent’s asset’s promoted elements 3.5x24mm had been implanted. But all went
well. This kept me a life and I am
grateful for it… my second chance!
At the time I had a
small fast food business in the centre of the small city where I live. As you
can imagine I could not work, and I still cannot!
I had hope back then but the doctor’s told me
that I could no longer work 14 hours a day 6 days a week. I’ve tried to find a
solution and, the best thing to do was to sell the business. I could see the
months going past and I continued paying all charges, the bank, rent, etc. I
had too! September arrived and it is only then that I realised that I had to
close the business for good. Back then I had very little savings already, the
business was not sold, and, I had not yet received any daily allowances from
the RSI.
We have to count two
months for the paper work to be done in these organisations. The insurances
were in time for the payments and thank goodness for that! After nighty days
the RSI paid me the daily allowances; and all was OK until November.
On the 24th November
the RSI has decided that I did not sent them the notice of sick leave covering
November, and told me to send them a duplicate from my doctor. I saw my doctor
on the 26th and on the 27th I send them the duplicate
that they received on the 1st of December. The offices of the RSI is
one hour by car from the city where I live, but, it takes the post 5 days to
deliver. Incredible!
On the 15th
of December I’ve received a letter from them refusing the payment and the motive
for the refusal was that: “notices of sick leave must be sent to the medical department
within two days according to the date of medical observation” Since
July I have been on sick leave and I do not see any interest missing the date
or not sending the sick leave to them! So, I am taking them to court! But as nothing works as
it should here, I most probably have to wait one year to be heard in court.
The best is that I was
paid for December
