The judges
of the Court of
Auditors have done a review of the
Hospitals of Paris Foundation, the organization that collects and uses the operation fund "Yellow
Coins".
In 2007 more than 10.5
million euros collected, and 2.9 million euros were officially spent in "business costs".
Chaired by Bernadette Chirac
the wife of ex-President Chirac.
This foundation has been the subject of many rumors on the Internet, where anonymous netizens
have criticized its management.
These
criticisms and rumors have prompted the
Court of Auditors to launch its exceptional
audit, which will check in particular the operating costs of the foundation.
In the meantime,
the treasurer of the Foundation Hospitals of
Paris, Patrice Corbin, is also judge to the Court of Auditors.
Patrice Corbin was sued by the Assistance Public Hospitals of Paris, his former employer, for non-legal occupation of one of his homes in an upscale neighborhood of the capital.
