The National
Assembly and the
Senate will unveil in a few days the distribution of parliamentary reservation, which allows
parliamentarians to subsidize "community
investment". A parliamentarian is
a legislator, not a boss of public money!
One billion
euros for 8 years,
almost 136 million euros a year,
130,000 per deputy and senator and
more for high offices
Parliamentary reserve squanders tax annual income of 33,000
family’s subject!
For Eudes Baufreton,
CEO of Associated Taxpayers, "the role of a parliamentarian is to vote the law, control government
action and evaluate public
policies, not to distribute
the money of French investments in often patronage,
making and campaign at taxpayer expense. In the current context
of fiscal overkill
of French on one
hand, but also the need to reduce
public spending (56% of GDP) on the other hand, it is essential to
eliminate the costly and unnecessary parliamentary reservation".
The investment and subsidizing of associations and local authorities should not be provided by the parliamentarians who are elected national and not local. MPs and senators
should focus on their role as legislators.
While parliamentarians are
frequently absent from the
chamber, taxpayers may regret their
haste to distribute public money,
which is money from all the French.
