PRESIDING EUROPE




The President of the Eurogroup, Jeroen Dijsselbloem, had to remove from his curriculum a master's degree in Business Economics from the University College Cork (UCC), which never existed in that institution.
Finance Minister of Holland removed the reference to the master, replacing it with the realization of a "Research in Business Economics with a view to obtaining a master's degree at University College Cork."

The correction of the curriculum that existed in several official sites, including the Eurogroup, happens after the newspaper Sunday Independent complaint.

The British newspaper, citing the said university source, ensuring that the master referred to in Jeroen Dijsselbloem curriculum "did not exist".

Career

Jeroen Dijsselbloem, in 1992 member of the Labour Party Euro Delegation in the European Parliament in Brussels. Since 1993 he has been a policy for three years Spatial Policy (environment / agriculture / nature) of the parliamentary group of the PvdA in The Hague.

Since 1985 Jeroen Dijsselbloem member of the Labor Party. From May 2008 he has been Vice Chairman of the PvdA faction in the parliament. In 2010 he was a member of the program committee of the party and from May 2012 the Labor Party election committee in 2012.

Jeroen Dijsselbloem on July 13, 2015 elected by the finance ministers of the euro zone for a 2nd term as President of the Eurogroup. On January 21, 2013 he was elected the first president of the Eurogroup. Dijsselbloem is the 2nd person holding this position since the establishment of the Eurogroup.

Since February 11, 2013, Jeroen Dijsselbloem Chairman of the Board of Governors of the ESM (European Stability Mechanism).

According to the same source, the President of the Eurogroup has been a few months at University College Cork to carry out a research on agricultural economics.
