BORDER CLOSURE LEADS TO ESCALATION

Greek foreign minister accuses Vienna to take "unilateral decisions which violate international laws" and jeopardize "the European integration process"
After Wednesday Alexis Tsipras threatened to reject all European treaties if the European Union countries continue to force the closure of borders, leading to the "arrest" of thousands of refugees in the Greek space.

"We will not be a soul warehouse," cried the Greek Prime Minister. "We will not accept any agreement that the responsibilities are not shared among the member states," he stressed.

Declarations of Tsipras emerged after ten countries, including four EU states, have agreed at a summit in Austria this week the progressive closure of the borders surrounding Greece - barring and closing refugees in that country.

This Thursday the Greek government began to move from words to deeds and called his ambassador in Austria back to Athens, "for consultations with the Greek government."

"By decision of the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Nikos Kotzia, Ambassador of Greece in Vienna, Ms. Aleiferi will come to Athens for further consultations on how to maintain friendly relations between the states and the peoples of Greece and Austria," reads the Greek Foreign Ministry note now disclosed.

Despite the seemingly diplomatic tone, the note accused then Vienna to take "unilateral decisions which violate international laws", accusing the government of jeopardizing "the foundations on which the process of European integration."

"The responsibility for resolving the crisis of migrants and refugees cannot fall in one country. Common sense dictates that a problem of this dimension must be addressed by the principles of solidarity and shared responsibility. Greece is working on this, "concludes the note of the Greek Foreign Ministry.

The Austrian government called Vienna nine countries for an emergency summit on the crisis of refugees. The countries present were four members of the EU (Slovenia, Croatia and Bulgaria, as well as Austria), who were joined by Albania, Bosnia, Kosovo, Serbia and the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia.

These countries signed a joint declaration which pledged to "limit the entry of migrants" across its borders, strengthening the "iron curtain" around Greece and condemning "prison" in the country of hundreds of thousands of refugees. At the end of the summit, the Austrian foreign minister attacked the Greek authorities, accusing them of "just be interested in transporting refugees to Central Europe as quickly as possible."

Filippo Grandhi, the High Commissioner for the United Nations Refugee was nimble in criticizing the summit organized by the Austrians and the conclusions thereof. "(These) restrictions will probably against the rules and European standards and will surely against the basic laws that protect refugees," said Guterres successor.
"We are concerned about these border closures while there is no other solutions for rehousing or replacements," he stressed. "We risk chaos" in Greece.

The chaos is already in all Europe. We do not know where to put all these refugees! My question is: why refugees do not go to countries like Saudi Arabia?

They would be in security as well as in Europe. And It will be closer for them to walk to, and as well closer to believes, and way of life!
