François Chérèque appointed High Commissioner to civic engagement






Hollande has appointed François Chérèque, the former leader of the CFDT, the post of High Commissioner for civic engagement. Decree dated April 14, 2016 and published today in the Official Journal

The president of the Republic,
On the Prime Minister's report
Considering the Constitution, in particular Article 13;
Considering Law No. 83-634 of 13 July 1983 modified on the rights and obligations of civil servants;
Considering Law No. 84-16 of 11 January 1984 as amended, concerning statutory provisions relating to the public service of the State;
Considering Decree No. 85-779 of 24 July 1985 on the application of Article 25 of Law No. 84-16 of 11 January 1984 fixing the top jobs for which the appointment is left to the decision of the Government;
Considering Decree No. 2016-433 of 11 April 2016 establishing the High Commissioner for civic engagement;
The Council of Ministers heard,
decrees:
Article 1 François Chérèque becomes High Commissioner to civic engagement.
Article 2
The Prime Minister is responsible for the implementation of this Decree, which will be published in the Official Journal of the French Republic.
