The Israeli government on
Monday asked the Jews of France to leave the country and announced that it will
not attend the conference in Paris scheduled for January on the Middle East.
Diplomatic tension had begun with Friday's passage of a UN resolution
condemning the construction of Israeli settlements in the occupied Palestinian
territories.
The Israeli prime minister
has decided to cut diplomatic relations with all 12 countries that voted in
favor and the Government has banned all ministers from traveling to those
states over the next month.
The rulers are still forbidden to meet with members of the Government of these countries.
As for New Zealand and Senegal, the countries that submitted the resolution to vote in the United Nations, Israel goes further and promises economic sanctions.
