MISAPPROPRIATION OF PUBLIC SUBSIDIES BY FAMILIES OF JIHADISTS IN FRANCE

The president of the association "Syria Prevention Families" and two members of this organization have been indicted. This association received 90,000 euros of public subsidies, part of which would have been sent to jihadists.

Valérie de Boisrolin, President of the Syria Prevention Families Association, and the couple Anne and Raymond Duong, are suspected of having sent around € 18,200 to their children in Syria by diverting funds from their largely subsidized structure.
The association Syria Prevention Families, declared in the Official Gazette, would have received nearly 90,000 euros of public subsidies intended to "morally support and regroup all the families as well as the siblings whose relatives were enrolled by extremist groups".

According to Le Journal du dimanche, the Duong spouses would have sent nearly 13,000 euros to their children, while the president of the association, Valérie de Boisrolin, sent 1,200 euros for her daughter, and more than 4,000 euros to the mother of a jihadist wishing to return to France.
Valérie de Boisrolin acknowledges the transfers of money in favor of her daughter, but denies having drawn in the fund of the association. The investigation was entrusted to the Central Office for the Suppression of Financial Crime and to the Anti-Terrorist Branch of the Judicial Police.

In October 2015, the Observatory of Wastes of Associated Taxpayers mentioned the case of Mohamed el-Ayouni, who was receiving social benefits from the return of jihad. He went to Iraq in 2004, where he lost his arm and left eye in battle. Back in France, he had asked for a disabled allowance ... and had obtained it from the social services.
