"We must continue"

When the president who raised the famous "fed up" tax shows solidarity with a movement that stands against rising taxes. François Hollande was traveling Thursday to Antraigues-sur-Volane (Ardèche), the village of Jean Ferrat. After laying a wreath on the tomb of the singer disappeared in 2010, the former president traded with "yellow vests" to meet him. In a video posted on Twitter by France Bleu, it is discovered encouraging them to continue the movement. "We must continue to speak and make it happen, because it has to come out. (...) Organizations must be able to take into account the demands, "says the former head of state. And for good reason, he himself had chosen to retreat on the ecotax in the face of the revolt of "Bonnets rouges".
"Macron decided before I decided"
Called by the "yellow vests" on his years at the Elysee, Francois Hollande defends his record. "The only increase in the Smic that took place was under my government. I prefer to say it so that we can make a difference, "he explains. The former president puts forward in particular the CICE (tax credit for competitiveness and employment) set up in 2013 and committed to be removed in 2019 by Emmanuel Macron. François Hollande recalls that his goal was to "help companies to increase wages". "Thanks to the CICE, I can hire someone," says a protester behind him. The former president is delighted.
"Emmanuel Macron introduced himself before I decided. He made his choice, his orientations. He must answer in front of the French, "slips the former head of state. A protester cuts him off: "He does not listen to us!" Answer: "I am listening to you"
