In a report of 222 pages, the
judges of the Court of Auditors have just released a scathing load against
waste to France Televisions.
Our public news channels have drunk of public money (nearly 2.5 billion euros
per year) for programming often disappointing. The magistrates of the Rue Cambon finger pointing in particular a much higher absenteeism than the private, exorbitant taxi fees (almost 2 million in 2015), excessive executive compensation (547 employees benefited in 2015 from a remuneration of more than 96,000 gross annual euros, 191 of more than 120,000 euros gross annual remuneration) and overstaffing.
The only way out of this "financial trouble" is, in the words of the Court of Auditors, "a significant reduction in costs" with "much stronger action than that undertaken to date."
Recently, we were treated to
refurbish 100 000 Office of the President of Radio France, Mathieu Gallet, but
taxi fares from the former director of INA Agnès Saal ... paid for by taxpayers.
After very expensive France 24, yet another public news channel landed on the TNT since late August. Called USA information’s (such as public radio), its logo alone would cost 500,000 euros.
France 2, France 3 (and its 24 regional branches), France 4, France O, Arte, TV5 Monde, France 24, Euro news, Africa news, network overseas: television paid for by our taxes is full of channels and programs.

Did you know that France Ô
barely exceeds the 0.5% market share, either from zero to a few hundred viewers
per show? The state wastes annually EUR 30 million for the budget of France Ô,
or the tax on income of more than 7000 families.
No press is free when she saw the state of hook. As the saying goes, "the dog never bites the hand that feeds": an arch-funded TV, is not a free TV to criticize...

In the Finance Bill for 2017,
it is expected to grow further euro the amount of the license fee, which will
now be set at 138 euros (an increase of nearly 10% since 2012).

Let us imitate the Netherlands
have already removed the TV tax or join Spain, Portugal and the United States
have ever known...
The radio and television may well be autonomous, and the programs will be not so good. And if public channels become unavailable, it will have released their hold millions of minds...
